This light is compact, easy to carry, and the magnetic attachment makes it super convenient. I really like the adjustable brightness and color options — they make a big difference in photos and videos. The built-in mirror is also a nice bonus for quick touch-ups.

One thing to note: if you plan to use it vertically at the top of your phone, make sure your case doesn’t have a raised surface. On my iPhone 14 case, the magnet doesn’t sit flush, so I can only use the light in horizontal position. Other than that, it works great and the quality feels solid.

It’s a good bit of kit. It’s small and compact. However, the mirror doesn’t really show much of your face so you don’t get a great idea of how you look on the camera.
 Also, it’s not ideal if you have a phone with a built-in card holder and pop socket Because there isn’t really anywhere for the magnet to sit. I had to cut my ring magnet into little pieces and then attached it to the only space I had available at the top of my case. However, the magnet is really powerful and I’ve been testing out and haven’t had any issues with it falling off, however you do have to be a bit careful with it. The ring light is good. It’s gives a nice soft glow.

It is exactly as advertised but not for me. The body of the item was too thick for what I was looking for. It was neat that the a portion of it could go up a down but depending on the positioning it blocked the camera.

The lighting quality is fantastic! This tool is compact and fits in my purse for on-the-go videos. The magnet easily sticks to the back of my phone case. Make sure the adhesive is secure on your case before using; the magnet is very strong.

Super fun and cool. Great for going out at night and have fun with friends taking pix/selfies. You can adjust the warmth and the brightness so that’s nice. Really only useful for selfies or photos that are closer. Feels good and weighted, feels like it will last a while

The best purchase for influencer or just someone who loves selfies. It adjusts anyway you’d like very bright and you can switch the color of the light.

Magnet did not stick to back on my iPhone but the light overall is great and makes pictures look better. A little disappointed the magnet does not work on the phone.

I feel this item is well made but impractical. I wanted to use it to use my phone's back camera but it doesn't work that because it magnifies you so much. In addition, you can't really adjust the placement very well so I can't even really use it for my selfie mode. However it's sturdy and I guess if you want a light on the side of your phone for some reason this would work.

I used this to take my own passport picture and it worked out so beautifully! Now I have the perfect little light that u throw in my purse when I need some extra lighting for pictures. Better than I expected! The light turns 360 so you can use it from either direction and the mirror really helps you stay centered and focused when recording with the back camera. It's easy to slide and manipulate and small enough to toss in your bag for use. I haven't had it long so I can't speak to longevity but I'm really pleased with the quality of it so far.

This MagSafe compatible light is great for photos or video with either front or rear cameras. Fantastic battery life, and a nice bright light. Very happy with this light.

I have the larger SmallRig P96 Vibe light and it’s been excellent so far; a real value for the high quality light it puts out, so the MagSafe version designed for phones caught my eye and I had to give it a shot. The body feels solid and has some metal components on it, which I like, but the buttons do feel a bit on the cheap side. Nevertheless, they’re easy to use to switch between color temperatures and brightness settings. The LEDs have great color rendering, the magnet holds the light firmly to my phone and overall it’s been a very useful addition for lower-light product photos and things of that nature.

Compact and easy to use, the SmallRig is perfect for mobile phone photography, vlogging, and video calls on the go. It had various light settings - warm to cool tones and dim to bright - and a built-in mirror. Plus, it charges with USB-C so no need for a special cable.

I absolutely love this magnetic selfie light for my iPhone Max! The folding capability makes it super compact and easy to carry around in my bag or pocket. Honestly was super skeptical about the product but it’s really good! It’s not too big either, very light weight but with just enough sturdiness to it! It is so unbelievably bright on the highest settings, there’s four different modes and each one you can get up to x5 brightness on each one for either just a little bit of extra light or full on sun in your face!
Can’t wait to take this outside to test it out, it also comes with a sticky circle magnet for you to put on the back of your phone case/phone. However I’ve noticed it does just automatically magnetise to the back of my iPhone 11 without it which is pretty neat. However won’t be doing that for long periods of time as it might mess with the battery but over all for the price it’s a must have, plus having a small mirror on the inside is a nice touch. You can rotate the light to face either front or back which again is good so 10/10 would recommend.

I got this on a whim because I like SmallRig products a lot! They have bene my go to for phone cages for years. This intrigued me but I wasn’t sure how useful it would be. Well, I am finding this to be a good item to have in my camera bag.

The first reason I like it is because it is neat to have a mirror without having to carry one more thing.

The second reason is because I like to use my iPhone’s back camera for selfies. There are more zoom options (both in and out) and the quality is better. I am finding this to be very helpful to be Brel to line up and make sure we are in frame before snapping a photo.

As a light, ti is very bright. There are multiple brightness settings so I can go from bright white to dimmer amber.

Battery life has been great. I have been using this for a few weeks and am still on the original charge.

It is lightweight so carrying it in my camera bag - or even in my pocket - isn’t a big deal.

The MagSafe connection is very strong! No worries about this falling off. Oh, this expands so it can accommodate larger phones. I mention it because I didn’t pay attention to the instructions and almost missed that. I would have thought it didn’t work with the larger phones but it does!

Overall, I’m very pleased with this and think it is a good value.

I now have a few MagSafe "selfie" lights and this one is the most versatile out of all of them. First off, this is thick, it is not something that you'll keep attached to your phone when not using it. The mirror is a nice touch, because if you are getting this for selfies, you'll probably want to make sure you're looking good. The power button is also the same button that you press to cycle through the different light temps, then there are two buttons to control the brightness. Something to note is that the button clicks are pretty loud if you are recording video, so you’ll want to try and get the settings right before you start. The light does extend out to make sure that it's not blocking your camera, in my pics it's attached to an S24 Ultra. While my other lights do extend up like that, they don't have a cool feature that this one does in its ability to turn the light around 360 degrees. It might not seem like that big of a deal, but it does come in very handy. It charges via usb-c and seems to have a good runtime, I don't think most people will use this long enough that the battery will run out on them before they can recharge it. Overall, this is a very well thought out phone light at a good price.

I've recently started filming videos, and as a result I've been trying out different lighting options to see which works best for my needs. This is a neat little gadget. It attaches to the back of any magsafe phone or phone case, or they include a magnetic ring. The light extends over the edge of the phone to provide additional light, but it also includes a mirror so you can use your back camera and see what's going to be in frame. It has a few temperature variations so you can get the light you need. It's compact and easily portable. I think it's very useful and I like the design.

Used this and absolutely love the pocket size of it. It works great. I didn't need anything crazy but I record videos for work and travel quite often. Needed something portable and quick and can be used and mounted on my phone and my laptop. My videos shows my face so I don't need anything to light me up hardcore but enough to enhance the area I am in so at least I look better and the area brightened and staged. This worked exactly like I thought. This mini light lights you up perfectly. It's diffused so the light is not anything glaring but gives you a brightened natural look when turned on and recording. Doesn't take up a lot of room at all. You just clip it on magnetically and that's it!

I'm really pleased with this selfie light. It is unique that is includes a mirror and the way it attaches to my phone it doubles as a stand! I have a Google Pixel Fold and I can set it up to use the full screen using this light as a stand! Unexpected bonus feature!

If you never find your self in a dark lighting situation and you are taking a photo / selfie, the SmallRig Magnetic Selfie Light Is what you need. it is a MagSafe ready device … the light can be directed in different directions as the light head swivels. The light can be varied in intensity and also has a white light or yellow / white light tone so you can set different lighting to depending on what you need. It charges via usb-c and comes with the cable. If you are someone who needs a makeup mirror it has one built in so you look your best before a selfie. The MagSafe is strong and had no issues with it staying on. The few photos I took with this were brighter and overall better due to lighting improvements.

I needed a portable light for work when I’m traveling to different sites and have multiple zoom meetings in dimly lit rooms! This light is a powerhouse that has multiple settings for adjusting the light and can also attach to the phone via magnet (depending on the phone you have). I’ve started streaming/holding meetings on my iPad to lighten the weight and this does the job wonderfully! It has a pretty good charge that holds for a good while and charges fast via usb c. It also has a mirror on the other side.

The IPhone 16 camera is almost too good- it definitely picks up on every imperfection in my skin. Somehow this selfie light is able to enhance my photos and also make my skin look better 😆. It's easy to use.

If you have an iPhone pro, be aware that it will cover up the 3rd camera. I haven't had an issue with it so far. The mirror comes in handy. The magnet is very strong. The light is very powerful. I'm excited to use it more!

It's compact, it's definitely has a good output to it and it seems to be built well. The hinge is tight enough to hold but not so tight that it's hard to open or close, and the light rotates on the hinge a full 360 degrees. The magnets are strong and hold really well to both my phone and my magsafe case. The mirror is a pretty much a gimmick though. It's a good mirror, don't get me wrong very clear reflection, but it's a flat mirror so even at arms length you only see a portion of your face and of course that won't line up with the cameras on a phone. I feel like if the mirror were ever so slightly convex it would be more useful.

If you don't care about the mirror feature, this is a great option for a simple to use, ultra portable mobile light.

This mobile phone light is the truth!!! I love that it doesn’t have to be plugged into the phone but can be attached with the magnet. It really brightens up pictures and can be turned forward or backward. You can even adjust the intensity of the light! I love it!!!

OK TBH, I’ve joined coloring tok and wanted a light to help me take pictures of the pages I color to share with my fellow coloring peeps. This does exactly that! There’s no shadows on my pages and I don’t have to edit the pics to make them brighter. I will say if you have anything that is shiny, the light will absolutely reflect off of it. So if that is a concern for you, I would consider different lighting options. For my very basic needs, this works great though. I love that it is magnetic and adheres very securely to the back of my iPhone.

My wife does informal modelling for some of the local designers; trunk shows, in-store soirees, luncheon walk throughs and the like. The other day she came home to say that all of the other models have what she described as “little lights that attach to their phones,” lighting they use for their selfie pictures.
